How Spegla measures AI visibility
Buyers increasingly ask an AI assistant instead of a search engine. Spegla asks those same questions for you, on the real models, and shows you whether your brand comes up.
What happens when you run a check
- 1Enter your brandYou give us a brand name, a category and the language your buyers use. Nothing else, and no account for the free check.
- 2We ask the modelsWe generate ten buying questions for that category. They are written blind, without your brand name in them, so we never lead a model towards you.
- 3Get your reportEvery question goes to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity through their official APIs. Each model answers independently, with no memory of the others.
- 4We read the answersA separate model reads each answer and records whether your brand appears, where it appears, which competitors are named, and which sources are cited.

How the score is calculated
Being mentioned first is worth far more than being mentioned in passing, so position is weighted rather than counted.
- Named first, or as the primary recommendation: full weight.
- Mentioned, but after other brands: half weight.
- Not mentioned at all: no weight.
Your visibility score is the weighted share of questions where you appear, from 0 to 100. The mention rate next to it is the plain percentage of answers that name you at all.
What this does not tell you
Model answers vary between runs, and API answers approximate but do not perfectly equal what the consumer apps show. One check is a snapshot. What matters is the direction over time, which is what daily tracking is for.
